LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers have reinstated left-handed pitcher Blake Snell from the paternity list and placed left-handed pitcher Alex Vesia on the injured list with a right oblique strain, retroactive to 8/23.
Snell, 32, is 3-2 with a 1.97 ERA in six starts this season. In his career, he has a 79-60 record with a 3.16 ERA and 1,398 strikeouts in 10 seasons with the Rays (2016-20), Padres (2021-23), San Francisco Giants (2024) and Dodgers (2025). He was drafted by the Rays in the 2011 First Year Player Draft out of Shorewood High School (WA).
Vesia, 29, has made 59 appearances for the Dodgers this season, going 3-2 with a 2.75 ERA. He has been with the Dodgers five seasons, going 18-12 with a 2.60 ERA in 286 career games with Los Angeles. He made his Major League debut with the Marlins in 2020, pitching in five games and posting a 18.69 ERA. He was acquired on February 12, 2021 from Miami along with Kyle Hurt in exchange for Dylan Floro.
