Tampa Bay Lightning Sign Defenseman Simon Lundmark to Two-Year, Two-Way Deal

TAMPA BAY — The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed defenseman Simon Lundmark to a two-year, two-way contract, vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois announced today.

Lundmark, 24, appeared in 66 games last season with the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League (AHL), registering four goals and 14 points along with 54 shots on goal. Known for his steady presence on the blue line, the 6-foot-2, 193-pound defenseman brings mobility and experience to the Lightning’s organizational depth.

A native of Stockholm, Sweden, Lundmark has played his entire AHL career with Manitoba, totaling 254 games, 16 goals, and 62 points, including three game-winning goals. He has also appeared in five Calder Cup Playoff games with the Moose.

Lundmark was originally selected by the Winnipeg Jets in the second round (51st overall) of the 2019 NHL Draft.
