LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers have signed veteran right-handed pitcher Chris Stratton, making a corresponding roster move by optioning right-hander Bobby Miller to the minors. To clear space on the 40-man roster, the team designated right-handed pitcher J.P. Feyereisen for assignment.
Chris Stratton’s Career & Recent Performance
Stratton, 34, was designated for assignment by the Kansas City Royals on May 18 and later released on May 22. This season, he made 12 relief appearances, posting a 6.09 ERA after allowing 15 earned runs over 17 innings, while striking out 60. Stratton spent two seasons with Kansas City, compiling a 4-3 record during his tenure.
A 2023 World Series Champion, Stratton has played 10 seasons in the Majors, suiting up for the San Francisco Giants (2016-18), Los Angeles Angels (2019), Pittsburgh Pirates (2019-22), St. Louis Cardinals (2022-23), Texas Rangers (2023), and Royals (2024-25). His career numbers include a 41-27 record with a 4.63 ERA in 371 games. Originally drafted in the first round of the 2012 MLB Draft by the Giants, he played college ball at Mississippi State University.
