Player Updates

Josh Rojas, 30, has been sidelined since the start of the season due to a fractured right toe suffered during spring training. Signed by the White Sox on January 8, Rojas owns a career slash line of .247/.323/.362, with 100 doubles, six triples, 34 home runs, 189 RBI, and 59 stolen bases across 570 major-league games with Arizona (2019-23) and Seattle (2023-24).

Caleb Freeman, 27, has posted a 1.35 ERA in 10 relief outings between Double-A Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte this year. He has held opposing hitters to a .083 batting average, excelling against right-handers with a .037/.103/.074 slash line. Originally drafted by the White Sox in 2019 (15th round, Texas Tech), Freeman owns a 3.61 ERA over six minor-league seasons. He will wear uniform No. 68.

Tyler Gilbert was optioned to Charlotte on April 30 but returns after compiling a 1-1 record with a 5.59 ERA across nine appearances (three starts) with the White Sox in 2025.

Fraser Ellard moves to the injured list after struggling in relief, holding an 0-2 record and a 6.75 ERA across six appearances this season.

Penn Murfee, 0-1 with a 7.82 ERA in 15 relief appearances this year, has been sent to Charlotte.

Bobby Dalbec, who was promoted from Charlotte on April 20, hit .222/.333/.278 with a double, RBI, and three walks in seven games before being designated for assignment.
