The Colorado Rockies have announced the recall of outfielder Zac Veen from Triple-A Albuquerque, while outfielder Jordan Beck was optioned to Triple-A on Monday.

Veen, 23, will don jersey number 13. He was selected by the Rockies in the first round (ninth overall) of the 2020 First-Year Player Draft out of Spruce Creek High School in Port Orange, Florida. Currently ranked as the Rockies’ #8 prospect by MLB.com, Veen was previously featured in MLB.com’s top 100 overall prospect rankings, holding spots at #27 in 2023, #36 in 2022, and #54 in 2021.

In 2025, Veen has played eight games with Triple-A Albuquerque, showcasing impressive stats with a .387 batting average (12-for-31), including four doubles, one triple, one home run, eight RBI, and one stolen base. His standout performance in spring training earned him the 2025 Abby Greer Award as the Rockies Spring Training Most Valuable Player after hitting .270 (17-for-63) with four doubles, one triple, two home runs, 11 RBI, and nine stolen bases across 28 games.

Throughout his Minor League career, spanning parts of five seasons and 351 games, Veen has compiled a .263/.358/.430 slash line with 71 doubles, 12 triples, 41 home runs, 209 RBI, and 135 stolen bases.
