In February 2025, Michigan’s commercial and tribal operators reported combined internet gaming and sports betting gross receipts totaling $268.5 million, reflecting an 18.9% decline compared to January figures.

Gross Receipts

  • iGaming: $222.5 million in gross receipts.
  • Sports Betting: $46.0 million in gross receipts, significantly lower than the $83.0 million recorded in January.

Adjusted Gross Receipts (AGR)

The total adjusted gross receipts for iGaming and internet sports betting in February reached $236.3 million, comprising:

  • $209.1 million from iGaming (a 10.3% month-over-month decline).
  • $27.2 million from sports betting (a 50.2% drop compared to January).

Year-over-year, iGaming AGR increased by 23.6%, and sports betting AGR saw a $14.3 million rise compared to February 2024.

Sports Betting Handle

The total internet sports betting handle amounted to $379.8 million, marking a 31.6% decrease from January’s $555.2 million handle.

State Taxes and Payments

Operators contributed $43.8 million in state taxes and payments for February, broken down as follows:

  • iGaming taxes and fees: $42.3 million.
  • Sports betting taxes and fees: $1.5 million.

City of Detroit Taxes and Payments

Detroit’s three casinos paid $12.1 million in taxes and municipal service fees to the City of Detroit in February:

  • iGaming taxes and fees: $11.5 million.
  • Sports betting taxes and fees: $640,249.

Tribal Operators’ Payments

Tribal operators reported payments of $4.7 million to their respective governing bodies during the month.
