VANCOUVER — The BC Lions announced on Thursday that they have strengthened their wide receiver lineup by signing American Bailey Gaither.

Standing at six-foot-one and weighing 182 pounds, Gaither heads north after a four-year journey in the United States. His career includes training camp stints with the Green Bay Packers (2021) and the Baltimore Ravens (2022), as well as a 2022 season with the USFL’s Pittsburgh Maulers, where he recorded 24 receptions for 328 yards and four touchdowns in seven games.

During his college career at San Jose State from 2016 to 2020, the Chico, California native amassed 135 catches for 2,227 yards and 18 touchdowns across 44 games. In his senior season, Gaither led the Spartans with 725 receiving yards and earned a First-team All-Mountain West selection.
