Barnes, 34, appeared in 63 games out of the Nationals bullpen in 2024, marking the second-highest total of his career (he made 73 appearances in 2017). Hailing from St. Petersburg, FL, Barnes was initially drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 14th round of the 2011 First-Year Player Draft and made his MLB debut with the Brewers in 2016.
