Offensive Player of the Week
Chandler Brayboy | WR/KR | Elon
Brayboy accumulated 309 all-purpose yards, the most in FCS this season, in Elon’s 50-27 victory over Campbell. The senior caught eight passes for 183 yards and 2 TD’s, returned two kickoff s for 113 yards and added a 13-yard run. Brayboy had a 66-yard TD grab on Elon’s first play from scrimmage and made a 36-yard scoring catch on the first drive of the second half.
Defensive Player of the Week
Jeremiah Grant | DE | Richmond
Grant contributed five tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles and two QB hurries to lead a strong defensive effort in Richmond’s 35-24 victory over Towson. The senior, who tops FCS with a school record-tying 11.5 sacks, forced fumbles on two of his sacks, seƫting up field goals. The Spiders tallied 7.0 sacks and forced four TO’s in the game.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Sean O’Haire | PK | Richmond
Kicking in his second collegiate game, O’Haire was 5-for-5 on field goals and added two extra points in Richmond’s 35-24 win over Towson. The true freshman made FG’s of 21, 22, 47, 36 and 18 yards, which Ɵ ed a program record and matched the most FG’s made in FCS this season.
Rookie of the Week
Brennan Myer | QB | Bryant
Making his second career start, Myer completed 28-of-39 passes for 338 yards and three touchdowns in Bryant’s narrow 31-30 overtime setback to #20 Stony Brook. The freshman capped a 99-yard drive with a 15-yard TD pass in the 2nd quarter, had a game-tying 19-yard TD pass in the 4th quarter and threw a 25-yard TD strike in overtime.

CLOSE RACE CONTINUES IN WEEK 11: Just one game separates the top five teams in the CAA standings with three games to go and Week 11 features several key matchups. Coleaders Rhode Island and Richmond are on the road and looking to extend seven-game win streaks as the Rams visit Delaware and the Spiders head to Campbell. Villanova and Stony Brook, who are both 4-1, are at home with the Wildcats facing North Carolina A&T and the Seawolves meeting rival UAlbany in the Battle for the Golden Apple. Also on the slate, William & Mary hosts Elon, UNH entertains Monmouth, Towson is home against Hampton, and Bryant heads to Maine.
STREAKING: CAA co-leaders Rhode Island and Richmond are both riding seven-game winning streaks, Ɵ ed for the 4th-longest among FCS programs. It’s the longest win streak for the Rams since 1985 and the longest for the Spiders since 2015.
HOME NOT SO SWEET IN CAA ACTION: Through 40 conference games this season, home teams have just a 20-20 record.
FIVE CAA TEAMS RANKED IN TOP 25: The five CAA teams ranked in the FCS Top 25 all moved up this week. Rhode Island is ranked #10 in the AFCA poll and #11 in the Stats poll, while Villanova is ranked #11 by the AFCA and #12 by Stats. Richmond moved up to #9 in the AFCA poll and #13 in the Stats poll, Stony Brook jumped to #17 in the Stats poll and #18 in the AFCA poll, and William & Mary is ranked #20 by Stats and #21 by the AFCA. The CAA’s five ranked teams in the Stats poll are Ɵ ed for the most of any conference with the MVFC. Hampton is ranked #8 in the HBCU Coaches poll, administered by BOXTOROW.
EAST-WEST SHRINE BOWL INVITES: William & Mary offensive lineman Charles Grant and Delaware running back Marcus Yarns received invitations to participate in the East-West Shrine Bowl, one of the premier postseason all-star games.

UALBANY 3-6 Overall/1-4 CAAFB
• Trey Lindsey took over at QB vs. UNH after a 2nd-quarter injury to Myles Burkett. He passed for 117 yards and a TD and added a team-high 58 rushing yards and a TD • MarQeese Dietz made six receptions for 49 yards vs. UNH. It was the second Ɵ me in the past three games that he’s had six catches. • Dontae Lunan is tied for the CAA lead in tackles with 85. He’s recorded double-digit stops in six of UA’s nine games. • The UA defense has held three of its last four opponents under 300 total yards.
BRYANT 2-7 Overall/0-5 CAAFB
• Freshman QB Brennan Myer was 28-of-39 passing for 338 yards and 3 TD’s in his 2nd career start vs. SBU. • Landon Ruggieri had 6 catches for 98 yards and 2 TD’s vs. SBU. He’s 2nd in FCS in receiving TD’s (11), 4th in receiving yards (843) and 27th in receptions (5.4 pg). • Dylan Kedzior set career-highs with 9 catches for 100 yards vs. SBU and added 47 rushing yards on 13 carries. • Colin Elliot has made a career-high nine tackles in back-to-back games.
CAMPBELL 3-6 Overall/1-4 CAAFB
• Sincere Brown had 7 catches for 135 yards at Elon, including TD’s of 70 and 53 yards. He ranks 3rd in FCS in receiving yards (889) and 3rd in receiving TD’s (10). • Mike Chandler II passed for 355 yards and 4 TD’s at EU and added a team-high 51 yards rushing in his first start at QB for Campbell. • Randall King set career highs with 7 catches for 145 yards and 2 TD’s. The 145 yards are the most by any CAA freshman in 2024. • Jalen Brooks had 9 tackles and 1.5 TFL’s at EU and leads Campbell with 85 stops.
DELAWARE 7-1 Overall/4-1 CAAFB
• Marcus Yarns received an invitation to the East-West Shrine game. He accounted for 170 all-purpose yards and 3 TD’s vs. UAlbany and two 100+-yard rushing games. • Phil Lutz ranks 4th in FCS in receiving TD’s (9) and 19th in receiving yards (81.5 ypg). He had a TD catch in the Hens’ first 7 games. • Marje Mulumba set career-highs with 8 tackles and 2.5 TFL’s against UAlbany. • KT Seay made his CAA-high 4th interception vs. UAlbany. He has picked off a pass in 4 of UD’s 8 games and ranks 3rd in FCS.
ELON 3-6 Overall/2-3 CAAFB
• Chandler Brayboy had an FCS-best 309 all-purpose yards and a career-high 183 receiving yards and 2 TD’s vs. Campbell. He leads the nation in kickoff returns (40.7 avg) and is 7th in FCS in AP yards (146.5 ypg). • Matthew Downing threw for 251 yards and 3 TD’s vs. CU, which was third game with 200+ passing yards this season. • Rushawn Baker ran for a career-high 154 yards and 3 TD’s in the Campbell win. • Jeff Yurk ranks 2nd in FCS (47.8 avg) in punting and has 20 kicks of over 50 yards.
HAMPTON 5-4 Overall/2-3 CAAFB
• Ja’Quan Snipes ran for a team-high 85 yards vs. Villanova last week and has rushed for 262 yards and 3 TD’s in the last 3 games. • Hampton ranks 18th in FCS in rushing (199.7 ypg). The Pirates have run for over 170 yards in six games. • HU’s defense has held its past three opponents under 300 total yards and to less than 100 yards rushing. The Pirates have also recorded 14 sacks in the 3-game stretch. • Jordan White leads HU in tackles (51) and interceptions (2).
MAINE 4-5 Overall/2-3 CAAFB
• Carter Peevy passed for 123 yards and a TD at Oklahoma. He ranks 12th in FCS in completion percentage (68.4%) and has thrown a TD pass in six straight games. • TE Cooper Heisey had a 3-yard TD catch on Maine’s opening drive at OU. He has a team-high 5 TD receptions for the season. • Maine has held four of its last five FCS opponents to less than 120 yards rushing. • Christian Thomas recorded a career-high 10 tackles at Oklahoma. He has made 38 stops in five games this season.
MONMOUTH 4-5 Overall/2-3 CAAFB
• MU ranks in the top 4 in FCS in total offense (486.0 ypg), passing offense (317.6 ypg) and scoring offense (39.2 ppg). • Derek Robertson is 2nd in FCS in passing yards (2,845) and 3rd in passing TD’s (23). He has thrown for 300+ yds in 6 of 9 games. • Sone Ntoh ran for two TD’s at URI and leads FCS with 20 rushing touchdowns. He’s two TD’s shy of Monmouth’s season record. • Josh Derry made 6 catches for 100 yards at URI. He’s 4th in FCS in receiving yards (100.3 ypg) and has three games with 100+ yards.
UNH 5-4 Overall/3-2 CAAFB
• Logan Tomlinson made 6 catches for 73 yards and a TD at UAlbany. He leads UNH with 58 receptions for 634 yards and 7 TD’s and is 8th in FCS in catches and 14th in TD’s. • Josiah Silver tallied 2.0 sacks at UAlbany and is 3rd in FCS with 11.5 for the year. He has 51 total tackles and 17.5 TFL’s. • Seth Morgan passed for 208 yards and 3 TD’s at UA. It was his 4th game with 200+ yards passing and 5th with multiple TD’s. • Wande Owens has made at least 9 tackles in 7 of UNH’s 9 games and has 81 for the year.
NORTH CAROLINA A&T 1-8 Overall/0-5 CAAFB
• Shimique Blizzard ran for a career-high 132 yards and a TD vs. W&M. It was the first 100-yd effort by an A&T back since Sept. 7. • Aaron Harris had a 43-yard kickoff return vs. W&M and ranks 5th in FCS in kickoff returns (29.3 avg) for the season. • Kade Moledor recorded a season-high 13 tackles vs. W&M. He had made 10+ stops in two of the past three games. • Justin Fomby has passed for 150+ yards in five of the past six games. He has thrown 7 TD’s over that 6-game stretch.
RHODE ISLAND 8-1 Overall/5-0 CAAFB
• URI’s win over Monmouth was its 5th this season when trailing in the 4th quarter. The Rams’ 7-game win streak is just one shy of the program record of 8 set in 1985. • Malik Grant rushed for 126 yards and a TD vs. Monmouth. He has four 100+-yard outings and has 7 TD’s in the past 6 games. • Marquis Buchanan set career-highs with 12 catches for 171 yards and 2 TD’s vs. MU. • A.J. Pena ranks 10th in FCS in sacks (8.0) and 5th in tackles for loss (14.5). He’s 4th on URI’s career list with 22.5 sacks.
RICHMOND 7-2 Overall/5-0 CAAFB
• On a 7-game winning streak for the first time since 1995 after beating Towson. UR’s 5-0 CAA start is also its best since 2015. • Cam Coleman passed for 230 yards and 2 TD’s vs. TU. It was his fourth 200+-yard effort in the past six games. • Jabril Hayes returned an interception 90 yards for a TD vs. Towson. He had a 76-yard pick six vs. Charleston Southern on Sept. 14. • UR recorded 7 sacks vs. Towson, including 3 by Jeremiah Grant. Grant leads FCS with 11.5 sacks for the season.
STONY BROOK 7-2 Overall/4-1 CAAFB
• Edged Bryant, 31-30 in OT, for its 3rd straight win. SBU’s 7-2 start is its best since 2017. • Roland Dempster ran for 107 yards and 2 TD’s at Bryant, which was his 7th 100+ yard outing. He’s 6th in FCS in rushing (1,050 yds) and 3rd with 16 rushing TD’s. • Tyler Knoop passed for 285 yards and a TD at Bryant and has thrown for 912 yards and 9 TD’s over the past three games. • Rushawn Lawrence had 5 tackles, 3.0 TFL’s and 1.5 sacks at Bryant. He’s 10th in FCS with 8.0 sacks and 20th with 11.5 TFL’s.
TOWSON 4-5 Overall/2-3 CAAFB
• Fell 35-24 at Richmond last week, which was TU’s 3rd loss to a ranked opponent. • John Dunmore made 6 catches for 123 yards at UR, including an 80-yard TD catch that was the longest by a TU player this season. • Sean Brown passed for 275 yards and a TD at UR. It was his fourth 200+-yard passing eff ort in seven games. • Devin Matthews rushed for 78 yards and a TD at UR. He has 2,088 career yards and his 26 career TD’s are tied for 6th on Towson’s all-Ɵ me list.
VILLANOVA 7-2 Overall/5-1 CAAFB
• Edged Hampton 20-14 last week. It was VU’s third CAA win by 8 points or less. • LB Brendan Bell had 7 tackles and a sack at HU and also scored the game-winning TD on a 4-yard run in the 3rd quarter. • Jaylan Sanchez set season-highs with 5 catches for 103 yards at HU, including a 72-yarder that set up a TD. • VU held Hampton to 239 total yards and has kept its last five opponents under 350 yards. VU ranks 8th in FCS in scoring defense and 17th in total defense.
WILLIAM & MARY 6-3 Overall/3-2 CAAFB
• W&M ranks 3rd in FCS in rushing (252.4 ypg) and 10th in total offense (448.2 ypg). W&M has rushed for 200+ yards in 6 games. • Darius Wilson threw for 242 yards and 2 TD’s and ran for 64 yards and a TD at A&T and moved into 2nd place on W&M’s career total offense list (8,444 yds). • Jalen Jones leads FCS in PBU’s (15) and passes defended (17). He also tops the team with 2 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles. • Hollis Mathis made a career-high 10 receptions for 121 yards at A&T.
