Even though he’s never won the Goodyear 400 race, Kyle Larson is the main favorite to win it on May 12. There are several reasons for this, starting with the fact that he’s the one sitting at the top of the Drivers’ Championship table.
Furthermore, this guy won the race in Kansas last weekend, while also finishing second in Dover two weeks ago.
Another driver who’s been on great form is Martin Truex Jr., who finished fourth in Kansas and third in Dover. However, this guy hasn’t won a single race in 2024. Maybe it’s time for that to change?
It might, but Denny Hamlin, Tyler Reddick, William Byron, and others are determined not to let it happen.
Despite winning the Goodyear 400 race two years ago, Joey Logano is not among the top favorites to win it again. His 2024 Darlington odds are +2200 at BetOnline, suggesting that he’s not very likely to win on May 12.
However, the Goodyear 400 is a very unpredictable race, with the egg-shaped Darlington Raceway being called “The Track Too Tough to Tame” for being one of the most challenging tracks in NASCAR.
Not only has Logano tamed it once already, but he did okay in a few more editions of the event. Not last year, though. He finished 18th last season, which is probably why his 2024 Goodyear 400 odds aren’t that great. It’s a similar story when it comes to other underdogs, including Christopher Bell, Ryan Blaney, and so on.
