Kody Funderburk recalled from Triple-A St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced that they have placed right-handed pitcher Brock Stewart on the 15-day Injured List with right shoulder tendinitis (retroactive to May 2).

Stewart has made 13 relief appearances for the Twins, posting a 0.68 ERA (13.1 IP, 1 ER) with seven holds, six walks, 17 strikeouts, and a .174 opponent batting average.

To replace Stewart on the 26-man roster, the Twins have recalled left-handed pitcher Kody Funderburk from Triple-A St. Paul. Funderburk, who was optioned to St. Paul prior to Wednesday afternoon’s game in Chicago, appeared in 11 games for the Twins this season, going 1-0 with a 3.38 ERA (13.1 IP, 5 ER), five walks and 15 strikeouts.
