The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has provisionally suspended Juan “Vintage” Angulo and Oswaldo “DarkMago” Herrera, members of the PTime Dota 2 roster, as part of an ongoing investigation tied to the Esports World Cup 2026.
Effective immediately, both players are barred from participating in any EWC26 matches or ESIC‑member events, either directly or indirectly, while the inquiry continues.
In addition to competition restrictions, ESIC’s interim measures prohibit Vintage from performing coaching, managerial, strategic, or other team‑support roles connected to any participating players or organizations.
The suspensions follow ESIC’s preliminary review of information related to suspected violations of the ESIC Anti‑Corruption Code and Player Code of Conduct. The organization emphasized that the actions are precautionary, intended to protect competitive integrity, preserve evidence, and ensure a fair investigative process.
ESIC stressed that no final determination of wrongdoing has been made. Both players have been notified of the allegations, interviewed by investigators, and given opportunities to respond and provide relevant materials.
The investigation remains active, and the suspensions will stay in place unless ESIC formally modifies or lifts them. Any tournament‑specific decisions regarding the Esports World Cup will be issued separately by the Esports Foundation.
ESIC said it will not comment further until the investigation reaches a significant development or additional enforcement action is taken.
