CALGARY, Alberta – PENN Entertainment has expanded its Canadian digital gaming presence with the launch of theScore Bet Sportsbook & Casino in Alberta, along with standalone Hollywood Casino and theScore Casino apps. All three products are now available across the province on iOS, Android and the web.

The move brings PENN’s integrated sports media and betting ecosystem — anchored by theScore and theScore Bet — to Alberta for the first time. The company said the launch builds on its momentum in Ontario, where theScore Bet has become a leading operator since the province opened its competitive market in 2022.

Alberta players will have access to sports betting, live scores, news, and statistics through theScore’s media platform, connected directly to wagering options in theScore Bet. The sportsbook and casino app also features hundreds of slot titles, table games, live dealer offerings and exclusive content such as Blue Jays Blackjack.

PENN is supplementing the flagship app with two dedicated casino options. Hollywood Casino, a well‑known brand in both online and retail gaming, offers a casino‑first experience with an extensive catalog of slots, table games and live dealer content. TheScore Casino provides a streamlined, casino‑only alternative for players who prefer a standalone gaming app.

“Alberta has an incredible sports culture, and we’re excited to bring theScore Bet Sportsbook & Casino to players across the province,” said Aaron LaBerge, PENN’s Chief Technology Officer and Head of Interactive. “Fans already know and trust theScore, and with theScore Bet, we’re extending that connection into a seamless sportsbook and casino experience. We commend the Alberta government for introducing a regulated online gaming market for private operators and look forward to serving fans in one of Canada’s great sports markets.”

TheScore Bet continues to strengthen its presence in Canadian sports, serving as the exclusive gaming partner of the Toronto Blue Jays and Golf Canada, and as an official gaming partner of the NHL and PGA Tour.

Alberta customers now have access to same‑game parlays, player props, live in‑game betting, integrated sports data from theScore, and Hollywood Casino’s full suite of gaming content, including Blue Jays Blackjack, Dancing Drums titles and Sweet Bonanza games.

To mark the launch, theScore Bet plans to host fan events throughout the summer, including its Toronto Blue Jays Jersey Swap activation.
