World Series of Poker unveils 2024 Main Event bracelet

Yesterday, a WSOP Founding Father and Poker Hall of Famer, Jack Binion, took time out of his day to stop by the 55th annual World Series of Poker Main Event, delivering the richest trophy in sports – the WSOP Main Event Bracelet. Binion made his way to the Main Event Final Table to unveil this year’s highly coveted WSOP Main Event gold bracelet and wish good luck to the Main Event hopefuls playing in the tournament with a delivery of a ceremonial “Shuffle Up & Deal” alongside WSOP Vice President Jack Effel.

Considered the richest trophy in sports, the 2024 WSOP Main Event bracelet was custom-made by Jostens from approximately 445 grams of 10-karat yellow gold with 2,253 various precious gemstones, including 1,948 round genuine diamonds, 230 black onyx stones, and 75 genuine red rubies to accentuate the suits. Special to this year’s design is a removable golden face plate in the center of the bracelet that serves as a card protector.

“The WSOP Main Event Bracelet is known as the most expensive trophy in sports but the reason it’s priceless in the minds of players is because of Jack Binion,” said Ty Stewart, Executive Director of the World Series of Poker. “With another field around 10,000 in Las Vegas we’re proud to share with him just how far his vision has come.”

The 2024 WSOP Main Event set a single-day entrants record on July 6, when 5,014 entrants joined the field as part of flight 1D. The 2023 Main Event attracted a record 10,043 entrants, shattering the previous record of 8,773 set in 2006 when Jamie Gold defeated a crowd of 8,773 entrants before the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act changed the poker landscape, leaving doubt that the 2006 record could ever be broken. The 2023 edition stands as the biggest WSOP Main Event in series history, with a staggering $93,339,900 prize pool, the biggest in poker history.

The 55th annual WSOP action continues past the Main Event with more than 25 WSOP in-person and online bracelet events left to play and qualify for, including the $1,500 Closer Event on Monday, July 15.
