NEW YORK – The Chicago White Sox have optioned left-handed pitcher Tanner Banks to Class AAA Charlotte.
Banks, 30, is 0-0 with a 3.00 ERA (6 ER/18.0 IP), 13 strikeouts and a .212 (14-66) opponents average over 11 relief appearances with the White Sox this season, his first in the major leagues.
With the move, the White Sox active roster returns to 26.
