Virginia Lottery Publishes June 2025 Sports Betting Revenue Report

The Virginia Lottery has released its official report detailing sports wagering activity for the month of June 2025, based on data submitted by licensed operators across the state.

From 1–30 June 2025, Virginia sports bettors wagered a total of $477.8 million, marking a 15.0% increase compared to June 2024. The report includes figures from 14 mobile sportsbook operators and 3 retail casinos that were authorized to accept wagers during the month.

Virginia players took home $417.1 million in winnings, resulting in a 12.71% win percentage for operators.

Under Virginia sports betting law, the state imposes a 15% tax on each permit holder’s adjusted gross revenue (AGR). AGR is calculated as total wagers minus total winnings and allowable deductions, including promotional credits.
