The Toronto Blue Jays have secured outfielder Anthony Santander with a five-year contract worth $92.5 million.

Santander, 30, earned his first All-Star and Silver Slugger honors in 2024, achieving a slash line of .235/.308/.506, with 44 home runs, 25 doubles, two triples, and 102 RBIs, posting an OPS of .814 across 155 games with the Orioles. His 44 home runs are the fifth highest in a single season by a switch-hitter in MLB history. Since 2022, he’s ranked second in home runs (105), fifth in RBIs (286), and tied for fifth in extra-base hits (198) in the American League.
Originally from Margarita, Venezuela, Santander was signed by Cleveland as an international free agent in 2011 and made his MLB debut with the Orioles in 2017. Over his eight seasons with Baltimore, he played 746 games, maintained a .246 batting average, amassed 155 doubles, six triples, 155 home runs, 435 RBIs, and had a .776 OPS.
