TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts have officially signed American running back Khalan Laborn, the team announced Wednesday.
Laborn, 25, recently spent time with the Saskatchewan Roughriders this offseason after suiting up for six games with the Ottawa Redblacks in 2024, where he compiled 310 rushing yards and a touchdown, while adding 23 receptions for 152 yards out of the backfield.
A Virginia native, Laborn entered the CFL with the Edmonton Elks in 2023. His rights were later acquired by Toronto in a 2024 offseason trade that sent receiver Kurleigh Gittens Jr. to Edmonton in exchange for defensive lineman Jake Ceresna. He was later released by the Argos during final roster cuts ahead of the 2024 season.
Collegiately, Laborn starred at Marshall University, where he rushed for 1,513 yards and 16 touchdowns over 13 games in 2022, earning First Team All-Sun Belt honors. He began his NCAA career at Florida State (2017–2019), where he totaled 297 rushing yards and four touchdowns across 12 games.
