ARLINGTON, Texas – The Texas Rangers announced a pair of roster moves ahead of Friday’s homestand opener against the Cleveland Guardians at Globe Life Field:

  • OF Evan Carter has been placed on the 10-day Injured List with a right wrist fracture sustained after being hit by a pitch during Thursday’s game in Kansas City.
  • INF/OF Michael Helman has been recalled from Triple-A Round Rock and will wear jersey No. 24.

Carter exited Thursday’s contest in the 8th inning following the injury, which occurred during his plate appearance in the 7th. The 21-year-old has appeared in 63 games this season, slashing .247/.336/.392 with 5 home runs and 25 RBI. This marks his third stint on the IL in 2025, having previously missed time with a right quad strain (May 17–June 2) and back spasms (August 2–12).

Helman returns for his third stint with the Rangers this season. He previously appeared in 8 games (5 starts), going 2-for-11, including his first MLB home run and 4 RBI on July 21 vs. Oakland. His last appearance came on July 25.

Since being acquired via waiver claim from Pittsburgh on May 19, Helman has posted a .245 average with 8 home runs, 16 doubles, and 32 RBI across 53 games for Round Rock. He began the year in the St. Louis Cardinals organization before brief stops with the Pirates and Twins, where he made his MLB debut in 2024. Originally drafted by Minnesota in the 11th round of the 2018 MLB Draft, Helman played collegiately at Texas A&M University.

With these moves, the Rangers maintain a full 40-man roster, with Cody Bradford, Tyler Mahle, and Josh Sborz remaining on the 60-day Injured List.
