Experienced attacker brings a decade of league experience and depth to Seattle’s attacking group

RENTON, WASH. – Seattle Reign FC announced today that the club has signed veteran forward Brittany Ratcliffe through the 2026 NWSL season, with a mutual option for 2027, adding a seasoned and versatile attacker to the roster ahead of the upcoming campaign. Ratcliffe enters Seattle with a decade of NWSL experience, most recently spending two seasons with the Washington Spirit, where she helped guide the club to back‑to‑back NWSL Championship appearances.

Brittany brings invaluable NWSL experience, versatility, and competitiveness to our attacking unit,” said General Manager Lesle Gallimore. “She’s a pro who leads by example, elevates the environment around her, and brings a strong presence both on the field and in the locker room. We’re thrilled to welcome her to Seattle Reign FC and expect her to make an immediate impact.”

Across her career, Ratcliffe has appeared in 114 regular‑season matches (39 starts), logging 4,025 minutes, 10 goals, and three assists. Renowned for her work rate, adaptability, and ability to contribute across multiple attacking roles, she has represented six NWSL clubs: the Washington Spirit, North Carolina Courage, Utah Royals FC, Kansas City Current, FC Kansas City, and the Boston Breakers.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to begin this new chapter with Seattle Reign FC,” Ratcliffe said. “Thank you to Lesle, Laura, and the ownership group for believing in me. It’s an honor to join a club with such a rich history. The staff and players have already made me feel at home, and I can’t wait to meet the fans who make this place so special. I’m truly lucky to be here and excited to get started.”

Ratcliffe arrives in Seattle following two of the strongest seasons of her career. With Washington, she made 37 appearances (nine starts), contributing four goals and one assist. In 2025, she earned NWSL Player of the Week honors in Week 11 after scoring and assisting within the first 30 minutes of a 3–1 win. The previous season, she set single‑season career highs in appearances (23), goals (three), and shots (17).

A proven winner, Ratcliffe is a three‑time NWSL Challenge Cup champion, lifting the trophy with North Carolina in 2022 and 2023 and again with Washington in 2025.

A native of Williamstown, New Jersey, Ratcliffe starred collegiately at the University of Virginia from 2012–15. She earned back‑to‑back All‑ACC Third Team honors as a junior and senior, started all but one match over her final two seasons, and set a program record with 11 goals as a substitute during her sophomore year. She finished her UVA career with six game‑winning goals and was named to the All‑ACC Honor Roll in each of her final two seasons.
