Saskatchewan Roughriders Ink Global DL Sylvain Yondjouen, 2025 Draft Pick

REGINA – The Saskatchewan Roughriders have officially signed Global defensive lineman Sylvain Yondjouen, the club announced Monday.

Yondjouen, a 6-foot-4, 260-pound native of Ruisbroek, Belgium, was selected sixth overall in the first round of the 2025 CFL Global Draft. He brings a strong collegiate résumé from Georgia Tech, where he played six seasons (2019–2024), appearing in 52 games with 13 starts.

During his NCAA career, Yondjouen totaled:

  • 76 defensive tackles
  • 16 tackles for loss
  • 6 sacks
  • 7 pass breakups
  • 7 pass deflections
  • 1 forced fumble

In his senior campaign, he led the Yellow Jackets with seven quarterback hurries and five pass breakups, while ranking second on the team with six tackles for loss.

After going undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, Yondjouen received a minicamp invitation from the Carolina Panthers, further highlighting his potential at the professional level.
