Veteran soccer executive has contributed to the success of eight MLS Cup champions and five Supporters’ Shield winners
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution have hired longtime soccer executive David Kammarman as the club’s new Head of Player Recruitment. Working alongside Sporting Director Curt Onalfo, Assistant Sporting Director Chris Tierney, and Technical Director Remi Roy in the front office, Kammarman adds over 25 years of professional soccer experience including leadership positions with multiple clubs as head scout and director of soccer operations, contributing to the success of eight MLS Cup champion teams and five Supporters’ Shield winners.
Kammarman spent the last five years as Head Scout for Los Angeles FC, helping build the perennial title contender as a key member of the team’s scouting group from 2019-23. With LAFC, Kammarman helped compile rosters that won one MLS Cup (2022), two MLS Supporters’ Shields (2019 and 2022), and made two Concacaf Champions Cup Finals appearances (2022 and 2023). Prior to his time at LAFC, Kammarman worked as a scout for Atlanta United from 2017-19, contributing to the team’s first MLS Cup title in 2018.
“As our new head of player recruitment, David Kammarman brings a proven track record of success in helping build championship teams in Major League Soccer,” Sporting Director Curt Onalfo said. “David’s expertise in talent evaluation, along with his extensive relationships throughout the soccer landscape and deep understanding of MLS roster rules, will be great assets to the Revolution as we continue to enhance our roster-building process.”
Kammarman was previously the longtime Director of Soccer Operations with the LA Galaxy for eight seasons from 2009-16, where he overlapped with Onalfo as they won three MLS Cups together in 2011, 2012, and 2014. The Galaxy also won Supporters’ Shield titles in 2010 and 2011. With LA, Kammarman had numerous responsibilities including player development, scouting, talent evaluations, agent and MLS communications, and Collective Bargaining Agreement compliance.

Kammarman, a native of Laurel, Maryland, graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in political science. His extensive career in professional soccer, which includes stops in Washington, D.C., Chicago, New York, Atlanta, and Los Angeles, began as a media relations consultant with D.C. United during the inaugural MLS season in 1996. He moved on to work as an equipment manager with D.C. and then the Chicago Fire. Kammarman then reunited with Bob Bradley as his assistant coach and manager of soccer operations with the New York/New Jersey MetroStars, beginning his path in soccer operations as a director and scout. Part of Kammarman’s diverse soccer background includes 20 games as a researcher for ESPN during the 2006 FIFA Men’s World CupTM.
