ATLANTA, Ga. – The Atlanta Vibe (18-5) defeated the Vegas Thrill (7-14) Sunday afternoon at Gas South Arena, the team’s ninth sweep this season.
The Vibe swept the Thrill for the third time to finish 4-0 against Vegas this season with a 12-1 set record against them.

Atlanta’s offense dominated throughout the match, finishing with a .220 hitting percentage. Outside hitter Leah Edmond led the team with 12 kills and only one error. Middle blocker Shelly Fanning hit .300 with no errors, and Karis Watson came in to hit .429 to lead the team.
Outside hitter Leketor Member-Meneh and libero Morgan Hentz led the Vibe’s back row defensive effort with 12 digs apiece; Marlie Monserez contributed with 10 digs for her 14th double-double of the season. Atlanta outnumbered Vegas’ 41 digs with 51 as a team.
The Vibe brought pressure from the service line with six aces to matching their team season high record.
The bench made an impact in the Vibe’s Sunday afternoon sweep – opposite hitter Yossiana Pressley came into the game and tallied five digs in only one set; defensive specialist Kamaile Hiapo and setter Whitney Bower came in to put down one ace apiece to aid the Vibe’s service pressure.
The Vibe have one last regular season game against Columbus Fury on Thursday, May 2nd at 7:00 p.m. ET. Atlanta will be the first in the league to finish their regular season before playoffs.
