COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Atlanta Vibe (16-5) dropped a four-set match to the Columbus Fury on the road on Friday night, snapping a league-best six-match win streak for Atlanta and a six-match losing streak for Columbus. Despite the loss, the Vibe still hold the top spot in the Pro Volleyball Federation as they continue on to their second city in a two-match road trip this weekend.

The Vibe won the first set 25-23, but fell in the final three – staying within five points of the Fury in each one. Outside hitter Leah Edmond led the team with 16 kills, her 11th 15+ kill match this season, but Columbus’ defensive effort at the net and an offensive show from Kendall Kipp helped the Fury stay ahead and close out the final three sets.
The Vibe now head to Orlando where they’ll take on the Valkyries on Sunday, April 21 at 2:00 p.m. on CBS Sports Network – Atlanta’s first nationally-televised match of the season. Atlanta will then return home to host the Vegas Thrill on Sunday, April 28 at 2:00 p.m. – also on CBS Sports Network – for the Vibe’s Faith + Family Day.
