Preview: Vibe Host Thrill for Sunday Faith + Family Day

The No. 1 overall-seeded Vibe are hosting their last weekend match of the 2024 season this Sunday

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Pro Volleyball Federation’s Atlanta Vibe (17-5) will take on the Vegas Thrill (7-13) on Sunday, April 28th at Gas South Arena at 2:00 p.m., airing nationally on CBS Sports Network. Sunday’s match marks the second-to-last match of the season for the Vibe, who have already clinched the No. 1 overall seed for the Pro Volleyball Federation postseason and claimed the 2024 Regular Season Championship.  

The team’s final weekend match has been designated as their first ever Faith + Family Day, beginning with a Jr. Vibe Tailgate outside on the Gas South Arena lawn featuring activations and activities for the whole family. The event is free and open to the public prior to match time.  

Atlanta will host Vegas in their final meeting of the 2024 season; the Vibe are 3-0 in the series between the two teams, and they have swept the Thrill twice for a 9-1 set record against them this year. Atlanta’s offense is being driven by outside hitter Leah Edmond and Anna Lazareva, who are both averaging 4.3 kills per set.  

The Vibe will be celebrating their 2024 Regular Season Championship on Sunday and will be selling championship shirts both online and in-arena. To cover the event, media may apply for credentials here

Jr. Vibe Pre-Match Tailgate 

Time: 12:00 – 1:45 p.m.  

Location: Gas South Arena Lawn, located directly outside of the arena’s front entrance  

Cost: FREE (must have ticket to attend the 2:00 match) 

Activations and Activities: 

·         DJ Hoosier Dad spinning family-friendly tunes from 12:00-1:45. 

·         King of Pops and Kona Ice will be available for purchase at the Lawn. 

·         Kendra Scott will be selling their exclusive Atlanta Vibe Necklace for the first time on the concourse will be available for the first time on the concourse. 

·         Family and group photos available throughout the day with Mag-nificent photo booth on the arena concourse – take home your complimentary Faith & Family Day magnet with a photo of you with your nearest and dearest. 

·         Atlanta Vibe Pro Volleyball Federation Regular Season Champions shirt available for purchase for the first time at merchandise stand. 

·         Rollins Center for Language and Literacy will be on hand to host our “Atlanta Vibe Neighborhood Library” book exchange.  Bring new or used children’s books to donate and see if there is anything new (to you) you’d like to take with you!  All unclaimed books will be donated by the Rollins Center to further foster literacy and justice for all children. All families who donate books will be entered into a raffle to win a variety of prizes – winners will be contacted throughout the match and can pick up their prizes the same day. 

·         ISO Yoga will be hosting a yoga session on the Lawn. 

·         Concessions, restrooms and merchandise open inside the arena starting at 12 noon, with in/out access to the Lawn for oversized lawn games, tables, and activations. 

·         Atlanta Falcons staff on the Lawn with inflatables and games. 

·         Poster-making station for kids and adults alike – be creative, your poster could be featured on national TV! 

·         Check out a real NASCAR pace car from Atlanta Motor Speedway out on the lawn and inside of the arena. 

·         Volleyball nets with mini-clinics and oversized lawn games.

2:00 pm – Vibe vs. Thrill match inside of the arena  

Parking information for 4/28 

With the PGA Champions Tour event being held at nearby TPC Sugarloaf, it’s been shared that the quickest and easiest locations for fans to park for the match on Sunday are in Decks 1 and 2 at Gas South District. Deck 3 will continue to be reserved for season ticket members that have purchased parking, as well as ADA patrons.
