OTTAWA – The Ottawa REDBLACKS announced Wednesday that they have signed National running back Daniel Adeboboye to a two‑year contract extension, keeping him in the nation’s capital through the 2027 season.
Adeboboye, who was set to enter free agency in February, remains a key piece of Ottawa’s offense and special teams.

The Toronto, Ontario native suited up in all 18 games during the 2025 campaign, recording 70 carries for 386 yards and adding 28 receptions for 227 yards and two touchdowns. His performance earned him recognition as the REDBLACKS’ nominee for Most Outstanding Canadian, the first such honor of his career.

“Daniel is a player I’ve had the opportunity to coach in the past, and I’m excited to have him back in Ottawa for the next two seasons,” said head coach and general manager Ryan Dinwiddie. “He is a relentless competitor who leads on and off the field.
