WINNIPEG, MB. – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announced that receiver Ontaria Wilson has signed a two‑year contract extension, securing his place with the club through the 2028 Canadian Football League season.

Wilson (6‑1, 175; Florida State; born August 12, 1999, in Ashburn, GA) rejoined the Blue Bombers on September 1, 2025, following training camp with the New York Jets earlier that summer. He initially signed an extension through 2026, and this new agreement ensures he will remain in Blue and Gold for the long term.

Upon his return, Wilson appeared in six regular season games and the Eastern Semi‑Final, recording 21 receptions for 382 yards and three touchdowns in the regular season. He added three catches for 66 yards and a touchdown in the playoff matchup against the Montreal Alouettes.

Wilson’s breakout 2024 campaign with Winnipeg — highlighted by 71 receptions for 1,026 yards and three touchdowns — earned him the team’s Most Outstanding Rookie Award and opened the door to his NFL opportunity with the Jets.

A standout at Florida State University from 2018 to 2022, Wilson finished his collegiate career with 108 receptions for 1,521 yards and 12 touchdowns. He signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2023 before being released following training camp.
