Dodgers activate AJ Pollock

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers activated outfielder AJ Pollock from the 10-day injured list and designated right-handed pitcher Shane Greene for assignment.

 

Pollock, 33, returns after being sidelined with a right hamstring strain since September 5. On the season, he has appeared in 107 games, batting .297 (105-for-354) with 16 homers and 58 RBI for the Dodgers. The former Notre Dame standout is in his third season with the Dodgers and has amassed 47 homers and 137 RBI with a .281/.335/.507 slashline. In his 10 Major League seasons, the 2015 All-Star is a combined .281 (881-for-3135) with 121 homers and 403 RBI. He was originally drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the first round (17th overall) of the 2009 First Year Player Draft.

 

Greene, 32, appeared in nine games for the Dodgers, posting an 0-0 record with a 4.05 ERA and recording one save. On the season, he is 0-1 with a 7.23 ERA (19 ER/23.2 IP) and 24 strikeouts. The Florida native has been in the Major Leagues for eight seasons with New York (2014), Detroit (2015-2019), Atlanta (2019-2021), Los Angeles (2021) and he is a combined 23-29 with a 4.52 ERA (235 ER/467.2 IP) and 437 strikeouts in 341 games. He was originally drafted by the New York Yankees in the 15th round of the 2009 First Year Player Draft out of Daytona Beach Community College.
