THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW
• Tonight’s matchup is the final time the Kraken will play the Stars this season. Seattle has gone 0-1-1 against Dallas in the teams’ two previous meetings this year and are looking for their first win against the Stars this season.

• Tonight’s game is the first of a four-game road trip in which all four games will be played against Central Division teams. It is the 17th of 25 games the Kraken will play against Central Division teams this season, with Seattle holding an 8-3-5 record against the Central Division this year.

• Seattle’s American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Coachella Valley Firebirds, are set to take on the Texas Stars tonight at 5 p.m. PT. It is the second time the Kraken and Firebirds are playing teams from the same organization on the same day. The two teams also faced off against their Stars counterparts on March 11.

• With the Kraken’s four-goal outing in their game on March 3 against Columbus, they surpassed their goal total from all of last season in 20 fewer games. Seattle has scored 240 goals in 69 games this season compared to 213 goals in 2021-22. The team’s 240 goals this season were tied for the sixth-most in the NHL entering play Monday.

• Jordan Eberle’s goal in the Kraken’s game on March 3 at Columbus was his 50th point of the season. It is the sixth time in his career and first time since 2017-18 that Eberle has recorded 50 or more points in a season.

FALLING STARS
• Vince Dunn has seven points (all assists) in his last six games against Dallas and has recorded multi-assist performances in the last two games he has played against the Stars.

• Yanni Gourde scored his 100th NHL goal on April 23, 2022 against Dallas.

• Justin Schultz recorded his 100th NHL point on Jan. 21, 2016 against the Stars.

ROAD WARRIORS
• The Kraken have posted an 22-9-3 record while playing on the road this season. The team’s 22 road wins have doubled their total from last season (11) despite the team still having seven road games left to play this season.

• Entering play Wednesday, the Kraken ranked in the top five in the NHL in road wins (22, tied third), points (47, tied fourth) and road regulation wins (18, fourth). The team’s 128 goals scored on the road and 3.76 goals-per-game-played on the road were both ranked fourth in the NHL entering play Monday.

• The Kraken’s 13 wins since Jan. 1 were second to only the Boston Bruins (16) for the most in 2023 and the team’s 27 points since the new year ranked third entering play Monday, trailing Boston (3) and New Jersey (29).

• A win tonight over the Stars would give the Kraken their third road winning streak of at least six games. The team previously recorded a six-game road win streak from Nov. 1 to 29, 2022 and a seven-game streak from Jan. 1 to 14. Seattle’s five-game road streak is the longest active road winning streak in the NHL.

• Matty Beniers (13 goals, 15 assists) and Jared McCann (20 goals, eight assists) are the Kraken’s leading scorers when playing on the road this season with 28 points each. Beniers’ 13 goals (tied), 28 points and 0.85 points per game on the road this year were the most among rookies who have played in at least two road games this season entering play Monday. McCann’s 20 goals scored on the road were tied for the sixth-most in the NHL entering play Monday.

• Vince Dunn has totaled 21 points (five goals, 16 assists) in his last 18 games played on the road. Dunn’s eight goals scored on the road this season were tied for the third-most in the NHL among all defensemen entering play Monday. Oliver Bjorkstrand (three goals, two assists) and Jaden Schwartz (one goal, four assists) both have five points in their last four games played on the road.
