Despite Kevin Durant’s streak of 20-point games coming to a halt, the Phoenix Suns’ offense remains as potent as ever. As they head to Portland for the first of two consecutive games against the Trail Blazers on Saturday night, the Suns aim to maintain their offensive surge.

Phoenix’s 130-105 triumph over the Golden State Warriors showcased their scoring prowess, with Devin Booker leading the charge with 31 points and 11 assists. Durant, though just shy of his 20-point mark with 19 points, contributed significantly alongside Bradley Beal’s efficient 21-point performance. Notably, Phoenix racked up a season-high 41 assists in the victory.
The Suns, winners of nine of their past 12 games, are in the midst of a four-game road trip which concludes against the Oklahoma City Thunder. They look to keep their momentum rolling against a Trail Blazers team that’s currently enjoying its best stretch of the season.
Portland has won six of its last seven games, including a 119-90 dismantling of the Orlando Magic. The Blazers’ balanced attack was highlighted by Scoot Henderson’s 23 points and Deandre Ayton’s dominant 22 points on 10-of-12 shooting. The defensive efforts of Deni Avdija, with 14 steals over the past eight games, have also been pivotal.
However, forward Jerami Grant remains questionable after exiting the game against the Bucks early. Despite this, Portland’s recent form poses a significant challenge to the Suns, who have triumphed in the last four matchups between the two teams, including two this season.
