NEW YORK – Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards has been handed a one-game suspension without pay after accumulating his 16th technical foul of the 2024-25 season, according to an announcement by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations.

Per NBA regulations, any player or coach receiving their 16th technical foul in a regular season is subject to an automatic one-game suspension without pay. For every two additional technical fouls thereafter, they face an additional one-game suspension under the same rule.
Edwards’ latest technical foul occurred during the third quarter of the Timberwolves’ 111-102 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on February 27 at Crypto.com Arena. With 5:21 left in the quarter, Edwards received his second technical foul of the game, leading to his ejection. He will serve his suspension tonight when the Timberwolves take on the Utah Jazz at Delta Center.
