MIAMI – The Miami Marlins have kicked off the 2025 International Signing Period with a bang, announcing the addition of 17 new players to their roster. This exciting news was shared by Director of International Scouting David Hernandez Beayne during a ceremony held today at the Marlins Academy in the Dominican Republic.
Among the talented signees are 16-year-old shortstop Andrew Salas from Venezuela, who is recognized as the third-best international prospect by Baseball America, and 16-year-old right-handed pitcher Kevin DeFrank from the Dominican Republic, who holds the 81st spot in Baseball America’s rankings.
