Maple Leafs’ Timmins Fined for Cross-Checking

NEW YORK – Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Conor Timmins has been fined $2,864.58, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for cross-checking Seattle Kraken forward Brandon Tanev during NHL Game No. 723 in Seattle on Sunday, Jan. 21, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 2:12 of the first period. Timmins was assessed a minor penalty for cross-checking.

The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
