LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers traded left-handed pitcher Matt Gage to the New York Mets for cash considerations.
Gage, 31, was 1-3 with a 4.29 ERA in 20 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City this season. He was acquired by the Dodgers via trade on February 5 from the New York Yankees along with right-handed pitcher Christian Zazueta in exchange for left-handed pitcher Caleb Ferguson. He has made 16 Major League appearances with Toronto (2022) and Houston (2023), allowing four runs in 19.2 innings with 20 strikeouts. He was originally drafted by the Giants in the 10th round of the 2014 First Year Player Draft out of Siena College.
