LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers have announced the addition of right-handed pitcher Yoendrys Gómez to the active roster. To make room, right-handed pitcher Noah Davis has been optioned to Triple-A.
Gómez, 25, was claimed from the New York Yankees yesterday after being designated for assignment earlier in the week. He appeared in six games for the Yankees this season, posting a 1-1 record with a 2.70 ERA and five strikeouts across 10.0 innings. Over parts of three Major League seasons with the Yankees, Gómez has recorded a combined 1-1 record with a 3.09 ERA in 12 appearances. In the minors, Gómez has pitched across seven seasons, compiling a 12-17 record with a 3.49 ERA in 101 games. He originally signed with the Yankees on July 2, 2016, from Nirgua, Venezuela.
Davis, 27, pitched two scoreless innings with two strikeouts in last night’s game. During his first stint with the Dodgers this season, Davis made three appearances, posting a 0-1 record with a 10.13 ERA. Across four Major League seasons with the Colorado Rockies (2022-24) and Dodgers (2025), Davis has appeared in 21 games, recording a 0-5 career record with a 7.83 ERA. A Southern California native, Davis was originally selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the 11th round of the 2018 MLB Draft out of UC Santa Barbara.
