LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers have reinstated right-handed pitcher Evan Phillips from the injured list while placing fellow right-hander Blake Treinen on the IL due to right forearm tightness.

Phillips, 30, returns to action after missing 21 games with a shoulder injury. Last season, he posted a 5-1 record with a 3.62 ERA, striking out 63 batters over 54.2 innings. During his recent rehab stint with Triple-A Oklahoma City, Phillips made six appearances, recording nine strikeouts while allowing four earned runs in 5.2 innings. Now in his fifth season with the Dodgers, he holds a 15-9 record with a 2.28 ERA across 194 games. Throughout his Major League career—including time with the Braves, Orioles, Rays, and Dodgers—he has amassed a 16-21 record, 45 saves, and a 3.43 ERA. Phillips was originally selected by Atlanta in the 15th round of the 2015 MLB Draft out of UNC Wilmington.
Treinen, 36, has pitched in eight games this season, going 0-2 while securing two saves and posting a 3.38 ERA. Over eight innings, he has recorded 10 strikeouts and held opposing batters to a .250 average. An 11-year MLB veteran, Treinen has played for Washington, Oakland, and Los Angeles, compiling a 43-36 career record with a 2.79 ERA across 507 games. He has tallied 82 career saves and 570 strikeouts. Treinen was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the seventh round of the 2011 MLB Draft out of South Dakota State University.
The Dodgers will adjust their bullpen accordingly as they continue their season campaign.
