The Gaming Supervisory Authority (LPT) has approved amendments to the Remote Gaming Agreement Form, effective 27 November. The revisions remove provisions on contract termination that were duplicative of existing laws and regulations, eliminating outdated or redundant clauses.
Regulatory Framework
Termination of remote gambling contracts is already governed by:
- The Law on Gambling
- The Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing
- Operator‑specific regulations on the organization of gambling
Additionally, amendments to the Gambling Law on responsible gambling, which took effect on 1 November 2025, allow contracts to be terminated with players who exhibit signs of problem gambling.
Key Changes
- Grounds for termination previously listed in the agreement form have been removed, as they merely repeated provisions already established in law and operator regulations.
- Going forward, contracts may only be terminated in accordance with the relevant legal provisions and internal operator rules.
- Gambling operators must update existing customer agreements to reflect these changes.
Protecting Gamblers’ Rights
To safeguard consumer interests, the LPT will continue to provide methodological support to gambling organizers and will develop guidelines for the proper termination of gambling contracts.
