The Ruthless Stakes at Aqueduct promises to be an exciting race for three-year-old fillies over seven furlongs. With a purse of $125,000, the stakes are high, and the competition is fierce. Notably, Lasix is not allowed within 48 hours of post time, in accordance with HISA Rule 4212.
The race is by subscription, with a fee of $125 for nominations, $625 to pass the entry box, and an additional $625 to start. For horses not originally nominated, a supplemental nomination payment of $625, plus the entry and starting fees, can be made at any time prior to the closing of entries.
The purse distribution is as follows: 55% to the owner of the winner, 20% to second place, 12% to third, 6% to fourth, 4% to fifth, and 3% divided equally amongst the remaining finishers. The weight for the race is 122 lbs, with non-winners of a sweepstake other than State-bred allowed 2 lbs, and non-winners of a race other than maiden, claiming, starter, or State-bred allowance allowed 4 lbs. A trophy will be presented to the winning owner.
