Venue: Oaklawn Park, 2705 Central Avenue, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71901.
Nestled in the scenic Ouachita Mountains of central Arkansas, this historic one-mile dirt oval is renowned for its lightning-fast surface, which consistently produces stakes-record times in sprints like this 6-furlong dash. The track’s speed bias favors forward runners and inside posts, especially under the winter sun.
Scheduled Post Time: 4:07 PM Central Time (CT). The 10-race card gets underway at 12:30 PM CT, with this Arkansas-bred fillies and mares sprint serving as the late-afternoon stakes highlight. Purse: $150,000 Guaranteed.
Race Conditions: For fillies and mares, three years old and upward, which were bred in Arkansas and qualify under rules governing same. Weight: 119 lbs. for 3yo, 119 lbs. for 4yo and up; non-winners of two races other than maiden, claiming, or starter since October 9, 2025, allowed 4 lbs. Distance: 6 furlongs on the main dirt track.
Expected Track Conditions: Fast. Oaklawn’s main track has been consistently quick and speed-favoring throughout the meet, with inside posts and early pace playing to advantage at this distance. No significant precipitation recently, and the surface remains firm and true.
Expected Weather Conditions: Mild and mostly sunny. Highs in the low 60s°F (around 58-62°F at post time), lows near 42°F overnight, with light winds from the SSW at 5-8 mph. Zero chance of rain and low humidity—perfect conditions for record-setting sprint times under clear skies.

Full Field Analysis
PP 1: Street Painter (6YO Mare, Street Strategy – Paintergone, Trainer: Aaron Shorter, Jockey: Cristian A. Torres, 119 lbs.)
This veteran Arkansas-bred has been a reliable grinder at Oaklawn but is coming off a layoff. Last out: 4th in a 6f allowance optional claiming on Jan. 18 (98 fig), closing from mid-pack after a wide trip. She’s won twice at the track in 2025 but lacks the class of the top two. Shorter is a 14% trainer locally, and Torres is solid (18% wins), but the rail might trap her if the pace is hot. Longshot play at best.
PP 2: Hush It Honey (5YO Mare, Too Much Bling – Waters Fine, Trainer: Randy L. Morse, Jockey: Rafael Bejarano, 119 lbs.)
A local speed type with strong Oaklawn ties. Recent finishes: Sharp 2nd in the $150,000 Ozark S. here on Feb. 16 (111 fig), just caught late; before that, a dominant allowance win at 6f on Jan. 10. Morse is a meet standout (22% wins) with these types, and Bejarano (top-5 jockey) knows the track inside-out. Post 2 is ideal for her pressing style—major contender if Haulin Ice falters.
PP 3: Arr Piratetreasure (5YO Mare, Palace Malice – Thatbossanovasound, Trainer: Steven M. Asmussen, Jockey: Erik Asmussen, 119 lbs.)
From the powerhouse Asmussen barn, but overmatched lately. Last: 6th in a 6f allowance on Feb. 7 (103 fig), never a factor. Prior: 3rd at Delta Downs in December. Asmussen is the leading trainer at Oaklawn (28% wins), but this one needs a career-best to threaten. Erik Asmussen rides regularly for dad—mid-pack at best.
PP 4: She’s a Dreamer (4YO Filly, Gentlemen’s Bet – Bean Peaceful, Trainer: Terry Eoff, Jockey: David Cabrera, 119 lbs.)
Lightly raced but showing flashes. Recent: 3rd in a 6f claiming race on Jan. 30 (83 fig), wide throughout. Has a win at Oaklawn earlier this meet but steps up in class here. Eoff (15% local) and Cabrera (hot rider) make her intriguing at a price, but post 4 forces a wide trip.
PP 5: Caliente Star (4YO Filly, Tapiture – Caliente Candy, Trainer: Ron Moquett, Jockey: Luis Saez, 119 lbs.)
Tactical Arkansas-bred with upside. Last out: 2nd in a 6f allowance on Feb. 11 (103 fig), just missed after a stalking trip. Moquett is a 20% trainer at the meet, and Saez is elite (25% wins). Post 5 suits her mid-pack style—solid underneath in exotics.
PP 6: Morally Complex (4YO Filly, Complexity – Afillyation, Trainer: Ronald L. Westermann, Jockey: Serafin Carmona, 119 lbs.)
Blinkers on for the first time after a poor showing. Recent: 7th in a 6f allowance on Jan. 25 (53 fig), slow start. Westermann is 12% locally, Carmona capable but this one figures as a deep closer longshot.
PP 7: Ministry’s Destiny (4YO Filly, Hamazing Destiny – Ministry, Trainer: Jaime N. Gonzalez, Jockey: Tyler W. Bacon, 119 lbs.)
Improving but unproven in stakes. Last: 5th in a 6f allowance optional claiming on Feb. 14 (75 fig), rallied late. Gonzalez hits 16% at Oaklawn, Bacon steady. Wide post hurts, but could pick up pieces late at a price.
PP 8: Haulin Ice (5YO Mare, Coal Front – She’s Smoke, Trainer: Saffie A. Joseph, Jr., Jockey: Francisco Arrieta, 119 lbs.)
The superstar and overwhelming favorite. Blistering recent form: Dominant 1st in the $200,000 Princess Rooney S. (G3) at Gulfstream on Sept. 20 (record fig); before that, record-setting 6-length win in this race last year. She’s the leading AR-bred earner ever and thrives at Oaklawn (6-for-8 here). Joseph (25% wins) ships her in perfectly, and Arrieta has won big with her. Post 8 is wide, but her class and speed should make her unstoppable. The one to beat.
PP 9: Ms Carroll County (6YO Mare, Cinco Charlie – Valiant Reason, Trainer: Tim Dixon, Jockey: Kelsi Harr, 116 lbs.)
Veteran closer with heart. Recent: 4th in a 6f allowance on Feb. 7 (90 fig), closing from last. Dixon (18% local) and apprentice Harr (light weight) give her a shot, but the far outside post in a speed-favoring race is tough. Exotics filler.
