Max Verstappen is the main 2024 Monaco Grand Prix favorite, which is not much of a surprise given that he’s the one who won 5 of this season’s 7 races.
However, the Monaco GP is an iconic race that everyone wants to win, so you can expect Verstappen’s rivals to go far and beyond to do well this coming Sunday. This goes especially for Charles Leclerc, who’s born and raised in Monaco.
Lewis Hamilton who’s got three Monaco GP trophies in his collection is also super motivated to perform great this weekend, and the same goes for Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, Sergio Perez, and many others.

Same as in every race of the 2024 Formula 1 season, Max Verstappen is the main favorite. However, his odds aren’t as short as they were ahead of the previous seven races. His Monaco GP odds are -140, suggesting that he’s not going to have an easy job on May 26.
The good news for his fans is that he’s in great form. He has won five races so far, finishing once in second place. The only time he didn’t win any points was in Australia when his car broke. Verstappen’s RB20 had problems with the braking system in that race, but that problem is fixed now.
Another reason why Verstappen needs to be thought of as the No. 1 favorite to win the Monaco Grand Prix is that he’s done it two times already. He won it the first time in 2021; then did the same last year.
Charles Leclerc is in second place on the list of top favorites, with the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix odds of +450. The reason why he’s the No. 2 favorite is that he’s driving on home turf.
The problem, however, is that he’s never won this race. In fact, his best finish in this event was the No. 4 place in 2022. Speaking of previous Monaco GP winners, Sergio Perez won it in 2022. Fernando Alonso did it two times, while Lewis Hamilton has won three races so far.
