There are four drivers with the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix odds shorter than +1000. At the top of the list is Lando Norris, who’s been in great form lately, but who hasn’t won a single race since the Miami GP in early May.
Just behind the McLaren driver is Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc who’s in a similar situation. He’s been pretty impressive lately, but the last time he ended up at the top of the podium was in May in Monaco.
Then, there’s Oscar Piastri, Norris’s McLaren colleague who finished on the podium in three of the last four races. Carlos Sainz is also in the mix; he’s sitting in fourth place on the list of favorites, mainly because he’s been constantly performing well this season, with his worst race finish being the No. 6 place.
Max Verstappen is the reigning F1 champion, which is good enough evidence of how good he is. The Red Bull driver started the season in top gear, but he’s not been great lately. In fact, he failed to win a single one of the last four races, finishing on the podium only once in that period.
Despite all that, he’s still sitting at the top of the Formula One Driver’s Championship standings with 59 points more than the second-placed Lando Norris.
Bookmakers don’t seem to think he’s going to win the Singapore GP. It’s not just because he’s out of form, but also because this is one of the races he’s never won before. Last season, when Carlos Sainz won the event, Verstappen finished fifth.
