VILNIUS — The Gaming Supervisory Authority under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania has imposed a €15,000 fine on licensed operator UAB Tete-a-tete Casino for breaching Article 18(1) of the Law on Gaming, which mandates that all gaming activities must comply with established Gaming Regulations.
Between 13 November and 2 December 2024, the Authority received formal complaints from 10 individuals alleging unjustified termination of remote gambling contracts by the company.
Following an unscheduled inspection, it was determined that the operator had unilaterally set its own internal criteria for terminating player agreements—contravening both the approved remote gambling contract terms and national legal provisions. The contract terminations issued on 13 November 2024, under Subsection 15.3 of the company’s internal rules, were deemed unlawful and in violation of the aforementioned legislation.
In accordance with administrative procedures, the fine proposal was reviewed by the Advisory Commission established under the Director of the Gambling Supervision Service.
Note: All decisions of the Supervisory Authority are subject to appeal under the Law on Administrative Procedure of the Republic of Lithuania.
