The Dutch Gaming Authority (Kansspelautoriteit, Ksa) has imposed a penalty on Chestoption Sociedad de Responsibilidad Limitada for offering illegal games of chance to Dutch players through the websites vave.com, vave-luck.com, and 65avev55.com. The Ksa has ordered the operator to cease its illegal activities immediately. Failure to comply will result in a penalty of €280,000 per week, up to a maximum of €840,000.
Investigations revealed that players were able to create accounts, make deposits, and participate in the illegal games offered on these websites. At the time of the investigation, no technical measures were in place to block access for players from the Netherlands.
The Netherlands maintains a regulated gambling market to ensure better protection for players. The Ksa actively targets illegal operators to uphold these regulations. Penalty payments are often effective in swiftly halting unauthorized activities, and operators may also face fines for the duration of their illegal offerings.
