The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Erick Veras, a Minor League pitcher in the Colorado Rockies organization, has been suspended for 56 games without pay, effective immediately. Veras, who is currently on the roster of the Dominican Summer League Rockies, tested positive for Boldenone, a banned performance-enhancing substance.

The violation falls under the Drug Prevention and Treatment Program specifically for Minor League players based outside the United States and Canada, marking another disciplinary action in Major League Baseball’s efforts to enforce clean competition across international affiliates.
