Circa Sports Kentucky, a prominent player in the sports betting industry, is set to launch a temporary retail sportsbook at The Mint Gaming Hall at Kentucky Downs in Franklin, Kentucky on 12 August, subject to regulatory gaming approvals. This retail sportsbook is following the successful introduction of Circa Sports Kentucky’s mobile betting app in Corbin, Ky., earlier this year. Boasting the industry’s highest betting limits, Circa Sports will provide an exceptional in-person betting experience at its new location until the debut of the permanent retail sportsbook, slated for summer 2025.
“Launching a sportsbook in a new state is a significant milestone for any operator, and we couldn’t think of a better venue than The Mint Gaming Hall,” said Derek Stevens, CEO of Circa Sports. “Kentucky’s passion for sports makes it an ideal location, and we’re excited to offer customers a unique betting experience, combining some of the best odds in the industry with top-tier service.”
Open seven days a week from 9 a.m. – 11 p.m., the Circa Sports book at The Mint Gaming Hall will feature three betting windows, one ADA window, five kiosks, 10 TVs and four odds boards for sports fans to enjoy. A Circa Sports betting kiosk also will be housed at Oasis Side Bar inside The Mint Gaming Hall.
Marking the fifth state for the brand, Circa Sports has become renowned for providing transparent and fair odds. Whether the bettor is a novice or a sharp, they receive the same standard wagering limits. Circa Sports looks to provide customers with value every day they bet with the brand, and guests can bet on all sports.
The Circa Sports Kentucky app is available through a partnership with the Cumberland Run property in Corbin, Ky., and can be downloaded and funded remotely from anywhere in the state. Designed by sports bettors, the app is available to patrons ages 18 and over. Highlights of the brand include the option to browse the complete menu and live odds from anywhere at any time; aggressive, higher-than-most betting limits for everyone – even winners; the inclusion of future bets in parlays; two-sided yes/no future betting; remote registration that can be done from anywhere on a mobile device; and deposits and withdrawals that can be done through the app from anywhere within the state.
The brand launched its popular mobile betting app in Kentucky via a licensing agreement with ECL Corbin, LLC at its Cumberland Run harness track. Wagers on the Circa Sports Kentucky app can only be made while the patron is within Kentucky state lines. The minimum deposit is $20 and payment providers include Play+, ACH (VIP Preferred), Wire Transfer and Debit/Credit Cards via VISA and MasterCard.
“Today marks the beginning of an exciting journey into the world of sports, where every page tells a story of passion, victory, and determination,” said The Mint Gaming Hall General Manager Johan Mirkovic. “As we open the doors to our new sportsbook and great partnership with Circa’s amazing team, we invite you to immerse yourself in the thrill of the game and the beauty of competition. Join us as we celebrate the spirit of athleticism and the joy of sportsmanship – may this book be a testament to the timeless love for all things sports!”
The ECL Corbin, LLC properties are owned by a partnership headed by Las Vegas entrepreneurs and casino veterans Ron Winchell and Marc Falcone, with Keeneland racetrack in Lexington having a minority stake. The Mint Gaming Hall boasts four exciting operations: Cumberland Run, The Mint Gaming Hall Cumberland, The Mint Gaming Hall Kentucky Downs, and The Mint Gaming Hall Bowling Green.
Headquartered in Las Vegas and helmed by Stevens, Circa Sports also operates in Nevada, Illinois, Colorado and Iowa.
