TORONTO – The CFL’s Department of Health, Safety and Integrity has levied three fines stemming from infractions in Week 11 of the season. This department—led by Chief Football Operations Officer Greg Dick, VP of Officiating Darren Hackwood, Associate VP of Football Operations Ryan Janzen, and Associate VP of Health and Safety Eric Noivo—oversees non-suspendible disciplinary matters.
- Micah Awe, LB (BC Lions): Assessed the maximum permissible fine for two violations—a spear on Montreal fullback David Dallaire and a high hit on Ottawa quarterback James Morgan.
- Wynton McManis, LB (Toronto Argonauts): Fined for executing a blind-side block on Edmonton offensive lineman Martez Ivey.
- Jacob Brammer, OL (Saskatchewan Roughriders): Penalized for a chop block on Hamilton defensive lineman Mario Kendricks.
In accordance with CFL policy, the league does not disclose the dollar value of player fines. The CFL also withholds announcements for disciplinary actions involving dress-code breaches, teams or staff, and players no longer on a roster.
