Conference opener headlines Saturday’s slate
After an exciting season opening slate, United Athletic Conference Football continues with headlining games for week two including the 2024 debut of head-to-head play in UAC play with Abilene Christian hosting conference newcomer West Georgia. The schedule also features a pair of ranked FCS foes along with a trio of match-ups against FBS opponents.

– For the second consecutive week, all nine UAC programs will be in action on the gridiron… Utah Tech gets Saturday started with a road clash in Las Vegas against the UNLV Rebels at 1 PM MT
– Coming off an historic DI debut victory last Saturday, West Georgia hits the road for the first time and kicks off UAC play with a contest in the Lone Star State versus Abilene Christian
– RANKED FOES: A pair of ranked “Prairie State” squads visit league members with defending UAC champion Austin Peay hosting No. 10/12 Southern Illinois at The Fort… No. 21/22 Illionois will pay a visit to the Shoals when the Redbirds square off with North Alabama in Florence
– RANKED TEAMS: Preseason UAC favorite No. 9 Central Arkansas continues its season-opening road swing with a game at Lindenwood… No. 20/21 Tarleton State is also away from home this week as they remain in-state to battle against Houston Christian
– When Southern Utah meets UTEP on Saturday night, the T-Birds will see some familiar faces across the field as the Miners are coached by Scotty Walden, who led Austin Peay to the UAC crown last year, along with several former Govs players
