Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Nick Minicucci | QB | Delaware
Minicucci accounted for 308 yards of offense and six touchdowns in Delaware’s 41-22 win over Campbell. The sophomore passed for a career-high 230 yards and 4 TD’s and ran for a career-best 78 yards and 2 TD’s as the Hens piled up 529 yards. The six TD’s are the most for a UD player since 2022, including two in the fourth quarter to break open a five-point game.
Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Derek Robertson | QB | Monmouth
Robertson was 22-of-23 passing for 358 yards and three touchdowns as Monmouth knocked off #8 Villanova, 40-33. The senior’s 95.7% completion pct. is the best in FCS this season and it was his 6th game this season with 350+ yards passing. All three of Robertson’s TD passes came in the first half as MU posted its 4th win ever over a Top 10 foe.
Defensive Player of the Week
Dontae Lunan | LB | UAlbany
Lunan recorded a team-high 15 tackles, 1.5 TFL’s, a QB hurry and two interceptions in UAlbany’s 20-17 setback at #15 Rhode Island. It was Lunan’s eighth game this season with double-digit stops and he’s the first CAA player with two pickoff s in a game this year. Lunan has a CAA-best 114 tackles and 9.5 TFL’s.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Carson Jenkins | PR | William & Mary
Jenkins returned two punts for 109 yards (54.5 avg), highlighted by a 90-yarder for a TD in William & Mary’s 22-12 victory over Bryant. It was the first punt return for a TD by a Tribe player since 2015 and it was the longest by any player in FCS this season. Jenkins entered the game with 50 punt return yards.
Rookie of the Week
Denzell Gibson | RB | UNH
Gibson accounted for 108 yards of offense and a TD to help UNH rally for a 31-30 victory over #16 Stony Brook. The freshman rushed for a team-high 64 yards, including a 2-yard TD run to help the Wildcats overcome a 20-point, 4th-quarter defi cit. He also caught three passes for 44 yards. Gibson recorded 73 of his 108 yards in the final quarter.

RIVALRY GAMES HIGHLIGHT WEEK 13 SLATE:
Rivalry games with playoff implications for many CAA teams highlight the Week 13 slate. Richmond hosts William & Mary in the 135th edition of the Capital Cup, UNH meets Maine for the 112th time in the Battle for the Brice-Cowell Musket and Delaware visits Villanova in the 58th meeting of the Battle of the Blue. There are a pair of in-state clashes as Rhode Island goes to Bryant and North Carolina A&T welcomes Elon. Also on the schedule, Hampton heads to UAlbany, Stony Brook is home against Monmouth and Towson travels to Campbell.
RICHMOND CLINCHES PLAYOFF BID:
Richmond clinched at least a share of the CAA championship and the conference’s automatic berth to the FCS playoffs last week. The back-to-back CAA titles are a first for the Spiders and their current nine-game winning streak is the longest since 1998. Rhode Island can earn a share of the CAA title for the first time since 1985 with a win at Bryant on Saturday. The Rams tied a program record for regular-season victories (9) last week.
STRENGTH FROM TOP TO BOTTOM:
The CAA has often been considered the strongest top-to-bottom league in FCS football, and this year is no exception. Eight of the CAA’s 16 teams have winning overall records and 12 teams have at least five victories.
FIVE CAA TEAMS RANKED IN TOP 25:
Five CAA teams are ranked in the FCS Top 25 this week, which is tied for the most of any FCS conference. Richmond is ranked #7 in the AFCA poll and #10 in the Stats poll, while Villanova is ranked #14 by the AFCA and #15 by Stats. Rhode Island moved up to #13 in the Stats poll and #15 in the AFCA poll, Stony Brook is ranked #18 by Stats and #20 by the AFCA, and New Hampshire is ranked #24 by Stats and received votes in the AFCA poll. William & Mary received votes in both polls. Hampton is ranked #9 in the HBCU Coaches poll, administered by BOXTOROW.

UALBANY 3-8 Overall/1-6 CAAFB
• UAlbany’s defense has held its opponent to less than 340 yards in 7 of the past 9 games. • True freshman QB Van Weber was 31-of-51 passing for 354 yards and 2TD’s in his first collegiate start at URI. • Dontae Lunan had 19 tackles, 2.0 TFL’s and 2 interceptions at URI. He leads the CAA with 118 tackles and has recorded double-digit stops in eight of UA’s 11 games. • Levi Wentz set season-highs with 9 catches for 138 yards at URI. It was his third game with 100+ receiving yards.
BRYANT 2-9 Overall/0-7 CAAFB
• Landon Ruggieri had 9 catches for 112 yards and a TD at W&M. He leads FCS in receiving TD’s (14) and is 6th in receiving yards (991). • Jarrett Guest returned from injury and passed for 263 yards and a TD at W&M. He has thrown for 200+ yards in 6 of his 8 games and has a TD pass in 7 of 8 games. • Dylan Kedzior ran for a team-high 91 yards at W&M and has 196 rushing yards over the past three contests. • Colin Elliott had a team-high 7 tackles, a TFL and an interception at W&M.
CAMPBELL 3-8 Overall/1-6 CAAFB
• VJ Wilkins made 5 catches for a career-high 172 yards at Delaware, including TD catches of 75 and 66 yards. • Sincere Brown ranks 9th in FCS in receiving yards (964). His 11 TD catches are a CU record and rank 4th in FCS. • QB Mike Chandler II passed for 267 yards and 2 TD’s at UD. It was the 2nd ÆŸ me in three weeks he has thrown for 250+ yards. • Jalen Brooks had a team-high 12 tackles and a forced fumble at UD. He leads Campbell with 105 stops.
DELAWARE 9-1 Overall/9-1 CAAFB
• Marcus Yarns ran for 134 yards vs. Campbell. It was his fourth 100+ yard rushing effort in the past six games. • Phil Lutz had 4 catches for 75 yards and 2 TD’s vs. CU. He ranks 4th in FCS in receiving TD’s (11) and 23rd in rec. yards (81.6 ypg). • Nick Minicucci set career-highs for passing (230 yds, 4 TD’s) and rushing (78 yds, 2 TD’s) in the win over Campbell. • Gavin Moul, who leads UD with 63 tackles, had 7 stops, a PBU and 2 QB hurries against Campbell.
ELON 5-6 Overall/4-3 CAAFB
• Rushawn Baker ran for 156 yards and 3 TD’s vs. Maine. It was his third straight game with 150+ rushing yards. • Matthew Downing threw for 299 yards and a TD vs. Maine. He has passed for 865 yards and 8 TD’s during EU’s 3-game win streak. • Chandler Brayboy leads FCS in kickoff returns (36.5 avg) and ranks 6th in all-purpose yards (151.9 ypg). He tops Elon with 47 receptions for 861 yards and 7 TD’s. • Elon’s offense is averaging 40.3 points and 481.0 yards over the past two games.
HAMPTON 5-6 Overall/2-5 CAAFB
• Hampton ranks 19th in FCS in rushing (195.0 ypg). The Pirates have run for over 170 yards in seven of their 11 games. • Freshman Brennan Ridley made 5 catches for 74 yards and a TD vs. Richmond. He leads the Pirates with 46 receptions for 560 yards and 4 TD’s. • HU’s defense has held its past five opponents under 325 total yards and it has given up less than 100 rushing yards four times. • Terrence Lane II made a season-high 8 tackles vs. UR.
MAINE 5-6 Overall/3-4 CAAFB
• Carter Peevy passed for 271 yards and a TD at Bryant. He ranks 12th in FCS in completion pct. (68.1%) and has thrown a TD pass in 8 straight games. • Montigo Moss had 5 catches for 89 yards and a TD at Elon. He leads UM in receptions (56), receiving yards (672) and TD’s (6). • Christian Thomas made a team-high 9 tackles and added 2.0 TFL’s and a sack at Elon. • Xavier Holmes ranks among CAA leaders with 6.0 sacks and 11.5 TFL’s. He also tops Maine with 63 total tackles.
MONMOUTH 5-6 Overall/3-4 CAAFB
• MU ranks in the top five in FCS in total offense (471.7 ypg), passing offense (310.5 ypg) and scoring offense (37.5 ppg). • Derek Robertson is 3rd in FCS in passing yards (3,401) and 3rd in passing TD’s (28). He is 2 TD’s and passing yards shy of Monmouth’s single-season records. • Sone Ntoh leads FCS with a school-record 23 rushing TD’s and he has at least one TD in 11 straight games. • Ryan Moran leads MU with 74 tackles and is ÆŸ ed for 9th with 244 career stops.
UNH 7-4 Overall/5-2 CAAFB
• Seth Morgan passed for 263 yards and 2 TD’s vs. SBU. It was his 6th game with 200+ yards passing and 7th with multiple TD’s. • Logan Tomlinson made 6 catches for 51 yards and a TD vs. SBU. He’s 7th in FCS in catches (6.6 pg) and 11th in rec. TD’s (9). • Josiah Silver ranks 3rd in FCS in sacks (11.5) and 6th in TFL’s (17.5). He has 55 tackles. • Ryan Toscano recorded a career-high 17 tackles vs. Stony Brook and moved up to 8th in career tackles (302) at UNH.
NORTH CAROLINA A&T 1-10 Overall/0-7 CAAFB
• JusÆŸ n Fomby passed for 176 yards and 2 TD’s at Towson. It was his third game with multiple TD passes. • Antoine Bell and Cortez Lane each made their first career TD catch at Towson. • Kade Moledor made a season-best 16 tackles at Towson. He’s recorded 9 or more stops in 4 of the past 5 games and tops the team with 77 tackles. • Steven Davis II added a season-high 13 tackles at Towson and has 23 stops over the past two games.
RHODE ISLAND 9-2 Overall/6-1 CAAFB
• Tied the program record for regular-season wins (9) last week vs. UAlbany. It was URI’s sixth win when trailing in the 4th quarter. • Marquis Buchanan made 6 receptions for 132 yards vs. UAlbany. It was his 6th game with 75+ receiving yards. • Malik Grant ran for 110 yards and 3 TD’s vs. UA. He has five 100+-yard outings and has scored 10 TD’s in the past 8 games. • A.J. Pena had 7 tackles, 2.5 TFL’s and 2.0 sacks vs. UA. He ranks 7th in FCS in sacks (10.0) and 6th in TFL’s (17.5).
RICHMOND 9-2 Overall/7-0 CAAFB
• Earned at least a share of the CAA title and ran their winning streak to 9 last week, which is the program’s longest since 1998. • Zach Palmer-Smith ran for 166 yards and 2 TD’s at Hampton and became the Spiders’ first 1,000-yard rusher since 2015. It was his 4th game with 100+ rushing yards. • Landon Ellis had 5 catches for 70 yards and a TD at Hampton and has 12 receptions for 171 yards over the past two games. • Carter Glassmyer had a season-best 15 tackles, a sack and a FR at Hampton.
STONY BROOK 8-3 Overall/5-2 CAAFB
• Billy Cosh was named the AFCA Region 1 Coach of the Year after guiding SBU to the biggest turnaround in FCS this season. • Roland Dempster ran for 85 yards at UNH. He’s 4th in FCS in rushing (1,237 yds) and 3rd in rushing TD’s (18). • Tyler Knoop passed for 194 yards and 3 TD’s at UNH and has thrown for 1,335 yards and 13 TD’s over the past five games. • Stony Brook has forced 25 TO’s, which is the 4th-most in FCS, and they are +11 in TO margin, which ranks 6th nationally.
TOWSON 6-5 Overall/4-3 CAAFB
• Towson’s defense held N.C. A&T to 289 yards. The Tigers allow just 287.5 ypg and 11.5 ppg over the past two games. • Sean Brown passed for 251 yards and a TD vs. A&T. It was his 5th game with 230+ yards passing and 4th straight game with a TD. • All-America TE Carter Runyon made a team-high 7 catches for 81 yards vs. A&T. He leads the Tigers with 43 receptions and 5 TD’s. • Devin Matthews ranks 7th in career rushing yards (2,167) at Towson and his 27 career TD’s rank 6th on TU’s all-time list.
VILLANOVA 8-3 Overall/5-2 CAAFB
• VU ranks 9th in FCS in scoring defense (17.9 ppg) and 19th in total defense (315.2 ypg). • Connor Watkins threw for 235 yards and a TD and ran for 2 TD’s vs. Monmouth. He has accounted for 17 TD’s in 2024. • Brendan Bell made a team-high 8 tackles and a TFL against Monmouth. He has 91 stops and a team-high 13.5 TFL’s. • Freshman David Avit has rushed for a team-high 764 yards and 8 TD’s. • VU has won 14 consecutive home games.
WILLIAM & MARY 7-4 Overall/4-3 CAAFB
• W&M ranks 4th in FCS in rushing (248.1 ypg) and 18th in total offense (435.8 ypg). W&M has rushed for 200+ yards in 8 games. • Bronson Yoder ran for 146 yards vs. Bryant to record his 2nd career 1,000-yard season. He’s 3rd on W&M’s career rushing list. • Jalen Jones leads FCS in PBU’s (19) and passes defended (21). • Marcus Barnes had 7 tackles, a forced fumble and 4 PBU’s vs. Bryant.
