  • The Ohio football team scrapped its way to a 20-17 victory against Western Michigan on Saturday afternoon on Frank Solich Field at Peden Stadium. With their win against the Broncos, the Bobcats became bowl eligible for the second season in a row.
  • In a battle of the two division leaders of the MAC, Toledo came away with a 21-17 victory over Miami in Oxford on Saturday. With the win, the Rockets keep their one-game cushion over Northern Illinois in the MAC West standings and remain two games up on Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan. It marked the seventh-straight win for UT.
  • Led by a three-touchdown performance from Terion Stewart and stifling defense, Bowling Green won its second-straight MAC contest with a 41-14 win over Akron at Doyt L. Perry Stadium. The Falcons defense forced four turnovers for the second-straight game and held the Zips scoreless in the second and third quarter to improve to 4-4 (2-2 MAC) on the season.
  • Northern Illinois captured its third-straight victory with a 20-13 win over Eastern Michigan on Saturday. The Huskies put together a late 15-play, 80-yard drive to take a seven-point lead before Devonte O’Malley sealed the victory with an interception with just 27 seconds remaining.
  • The Buffalo Bulls improved to 3-1 in Mid-American Conference play with a 24-6 win at Kent State on Saturday afternoon. The UB defense held the Golden Flashes to just 164 yards of total offense and blanked Kent State over the final three quarters of game action.
  • Ball State secured its first MAC win of the season on Saturday, defeating Central Michigan, 24-17, in Muncie. Marquez Cooper rushed for 162 yards and a touchdown to earn MAC West Division Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Sidney Houston Jr. was named MAC West Division Defensive Player of the Week after notching two sacks and three tackles-for-loss.

  • Bobcats Become Bowl Eligible; Rockets Win Seventh-Straight Game
    The Week 8 #MACtion slate was highlighted by Ohio and Toledo. The Bobcats became bowl eligible with a 20-17 victory versus Western Michigan, while Toledo extended its winning streak to seven games with a 21-17 victory over Miami in Oxford. Ohio joins the Rockets and Redhawks as MAC bowl eligible programs as the trio stands as three of 30 teams in the nation to already have claimed bowl eligibility. Additionally, the MAC is one of six conferences with three bowl eligible teams.
  • Lift Off
    Toledo extended its winning streak to seven games and improved its record to 7-1 (4-0 MAC) with a 21-17 victory over Miami in Oxford last weekend. The Rockets are one of 10 FBS teams currently with a winning streak of at least seven games:
