LIBERTY KEEPS ROLLING, IMPROVES TO 4-0
Liberty (4-0, 2-0 CUSA) picked up its second league win and fourth overall to stay unbeaten in Miami on Saturday, knocking off FIU (3-2, 0-2 CUSA) 38-6. QB Kaidon Salter totaled four touchdowns in the win (two through the air and another two on the ground), while passing for 156 yards and rushing for another 77. A pair of Liberty running backs also turned in 100- yard rushing performances, as Billy Lucas carried 11 times for 102 yards and a score, and Quinton Cooley had 102 yards on 12 carries, helping pace a Flames rushing attack that rolled up 348 yards on the day. Liberty outgained the Panthers 504-211 and the defense forced a pair of turnovers, including another interception for the national leaders in the category. Defensively, LB Tyren Dupree recorded a game-high nine tackles, had a sack and two tackles for loss.

JAX STATE BOUNCES BACK
Jax State (3-1) came off its bye week with a strong performance at home on Saturday, shutting out MAC foe Eastern Michigan 21-0 in Jacksonville, Alabama. QB Logan Smothers was responsible for a pair of scores (one passing, one rushing), while carrying 18 times for 118 yards in the win, while RB Malik Jackson added 21 carries for 127. The Gamecocks’ ground game ran for 295 yards, while the Jax State defense forced three turnovers and held the Eagles to just 152 yards of total offense in the shutout victory. LB Quae Drake finished with a team-high seven tackles, a half tackle for loss and one of three Gamecock interceptions and DL Chris Hardie had five stops, 1.5 sacks, 2.5 tackles for loss and a pass breakup.

CORLEY SHINES FOR WKU
WKU WR Malachi Corley had a strong performance for the Hilltoppers in their narrow defeat at Troy on Saturday, hauling in nine catches for 112 yards and a touchdown.
